It’s becoming a sizzler of a summer here in Cincinnati, and the heat is on. When Mother Nature cranks up the heat, do you still brave the golf course? If not, do you see your game suffer when you return due to lack of practice or being out of the game?
The tendency to try to avoid the discomfort of extreme temperatures on the course is similar to the instinctive reaction that many investors have during difficult market conditions. When investors try to “get out of the kitchen” when the market turns up the heat, many will suffer negative effects on their portfolio for not sticking with it.
Consistency of strategy and stick-to-it-ness is the name of the game both in golf and investing! Hope you are having a fabulous summer!
