What to do when it is windy!
by
Teresa Zamboni

It is amazing how weather can affect your game.  Thursday at the British Open at St. Andrews in Scotland, rain was a factor that affected half the field.  Yesterday, play was stopped due to excessive high winds.  Today is a new day so we will see what Mother Nature has in store for the players.

If you find the wind picks up when you are playing, here are a few suggestions to help you:
1. Swing easy when it is breezy
2. Move the ball back one position in your stance
3. Tee the ball a bit lower on the tee to avoid the sky ball
4. Take one more club from that spot
5. Widen stance at address

If you follow these recommendations, windy weather will not affect your game.  Be sure to take your time and focus on good balance and swinging to your target!

Enjoy the British,
